an update...

This afternoon I had a very apologetic phone call from the manager of Loblaw's to say how sorry he was that Indiana hurt herself yesterday.
He was keen to know if she was OK and if there was anything he could do, including covering any medical expenses. After explaining to him in detail what happened, he was rather embarrassed and said that he thought that maybe staff had seemed a little uncaring because Indiana was surrounded by her parents, and we were doing more to help her than a stranger could have in terms of consoling her.

It would have been nice though, as a shocked parent to have been offered a chair and a cup of tea though!!!!

Anyway, he was keen to keep us as clients so he has offered us a $50 voucher to redeem the next time we shop. I have never made a formal complaint before, but it just goes to show that it pays off, literally!!!


Anyway, joking aside, Indiana is FINE today. It doesn't change the fact that she was hurt, but there's no point in making a huge deal about it either. She still has a slightly swollen lip, but she'll live to see another day!
